The Spanish conductor Francisco Valero-Terribas has been rated by specialists as "one of the most interesting young conductors in last years. A true revelation” after his participation in some of the most important conducting contests and festivals like Besançon, Lucerne Festival at Easter, Cabrillo International Contemporary Music Festival and Järvi Suvefestival.
His work with soloists has been highly recognized by both collegues and critics. They include great musicians as Morley, Magri, Blancas, Moser, Barkmin, Rodríguez, De Solaun, Petrova, Melikyan, Zhelezcheva, Burchuladze, etc. As well as his premieres of works by Encinar,Díaz de la Fuente, Nuñez, Zavala, Cooley and Knussen.
His appearances leading orchestras include formations from Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Brazil, Portugal, Switzerland, Italy, Israel, USA and Spain, among which : Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, Bari Symphony Orchestra, North Czech Philharmonic, BMS Rio de Janeiro, Orquestra do Algarve, Festival Strings Lucerne, Cabrillo Festival California Orchestra, Bulgarian State Opera, Pärnu Linnaorkester, Haifa Symphony, Orquesta de Extremadura, Oviedo Filarmonía, Orquesta Sinfónica de RTVE, World Youth Orchestra and The National Youth Orchestras of Armenia, Estonia and Spain.
He began his training as a clarinet player at the Higher Conservatory of Music in Valencia after wich specialized in Conducting. After winning in several prizes for young performers , he quickly began an intense career as a performer with the most prestigious Spanish orchestras (RTVE, ONE, OSM, etc) while he completed his conducting studies in some of the most important academies and universities (Accademia Chigiana, Lucerne Festival Academy, Eutherpe Fundation, Järvi Accademy , Manhattan School of Music, Alcala de Henares and Granada Universities) with great teachers such as: Kurt Masur, Bernard Haitink, David Zinman, Marin Alsop, G. Meier, B. Aprea, J. Schlaefli , Paavo and Neeme Järvi. As well as Soriano, Achúcarro and Horacio Gutierrez for the solo repertoire.
Specially mented by Jesús López Cobos, Isaac Karabtchevsky and Yoel Levi with colaborationships as assistant conductor in some opera and symphonic productions.
He has been assistant conductor at the Palau de les Arts, Valencia Opera Theater. As well as personally invited by Maestro Lorin Maazel as a Resident Conductor for The Castleton Festival in USA.
His repertoire includes Symphonic, Contemporary music and Opera repertoire.
